Trial of 7 Ayam Magazine Journalist Adjourned to February

Giza Criminal Court has postponed the trial of 7 Ayam Magazine journalist Tamer Ibrahim to February 5, 2019. 

In the next trial session, the court will review the expert’s report about the exhibitions which are recordings of the journalist interview with the plaintiff saved on a CD and a memory card

Ibrahim is prosecuted for publishing an article covering forgery incident. He is charged with publicly insulting a citizen in the lawsuit number 36792/2017.

Giza Criminal Court has postponed the trial of 7 Days Magazine journalist Tamer Ibrahim to December 2, to cover the fees of the technical expert delegated in the case.

Ibrahim is prosecuted for publishing an article covering forgery incident. He is charged of publicly insulting a citizen in the lawsuit number 36792/2017.

4 February 2018
 Giza Criminal Court has adjourned the trial of 7 Days magazine journalist Tamer Ibrahim to the May 10, in the lawsuit number 36792/2017. Tamer is charged with the defamation of a citizen’s character in an article that tackles a crime of forging official papers. 

The court has adjourned the trial in order to allow the defendant to apply official documents, on which he relied in his article, giving him the permission to get hold of the documents from the concerned governmental institutions.
