Karmoz Photojournalist Trial Postponed to December

Trial of Karmoz’s photojournalist Ahmed Fouad, along with nine other defendants, was postponed to December 2, session.

Alexandria Criminal Court set that date to announce the names of defendants in absentia and prepare for the pleading.

 Fouad was arrested while covering demonstration commemorating the third anniversary of 25 January 2011 revolution, as per the evidence provided by Fouad’s lawyer. However, the national security’s investigations state that the defendant was one of the demonstration participants and organizers.

The photojournalist and the nine other defendants are facing the charges of joining a group that aims to disrupt the law, demonstrating without permission, blocking the road, and possessing weapon.
