Court acquits lawyer Abdullah Muhammad Fawzi

On July 26, the Tenth of Ramadan State Security Misdemeanor Court acquitted lawyer Abdullah Muhammad Fawzi in case no. 37 of 2020, Tenth of Ramadan State Security Misdemeanor, in which he was accused of protest, joining a terrorist group and promoting its ideas.

Fawzi had been arrested on January 14, 2020, and was brought before the prosecution on the 16th of the same month, which interrogated him on charges of protest, joining a terrorist group and promoting its ideas.

The prosecution decided to detain him for 15 days, and continued to renew his detention until he was referred to trial before the Tenth of Ramadan State Security Misdemeanor Court at the July 26, 2020 hearing, which acquitted him.
