\u00a0<\/span>Yesterday, The Supreme State Security Prosecution released the defendant “Mahmoud Zakaria Elkhatib,” pending case No. 488 of 2019 Supreme State Security.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>“Elkhatib” faced several charges, including joining a banned group, misusing social media by promoting this group’s ideologies.<\/span><\/p>\n

12 July 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Cairo Criminal Court \u201cThe Third Circuit Terrorism\u201d considered the detention order of \u201cMohamed Ali Ibrahim Al-Qassas\u201d, and ordered to renew his detention for 45 extra day, this came pending Case No. 786 of 2020 Supreme State Security, after the court charged him with leading a terrorist group, The mentioned court considered the order to renew the defendant detention on Monday, July 12, 2021, in the presence of AFTE\u2019s lawyer.<\/p>\n

\u201cAl-Qassas\u201d\u00a0 was arrested in February 2017, from Salah Salem road, while he was heading to attend a wedding, and he was detained in Tura\u2019s supermax prison known as \u201cAl-aqrab\u201d in cruel conditions, Case 768 of 2020 is the third case attributed to \u201cMohamed Al-Qassas\u201d after he was recycled twice although he\u2019s being held in custody.<\/p>\n

28 June 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Third Circuit Terrorism had decided in its session held yesterday June 28, 2021, at the Institute of Police Secretaries, to renew the detention of \u201cMohamed Ali Ibrahim Al-Qassas\u201d for 45 days pending Case No. 786 of 2020, Supreme State Security, with charges of leading a terrorist group.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that \u201cAl-Qassas\u201d had a release order that was issued pending Case No. 977 of 2017 Supreme State Security, after two years in pretrial detention, he was charged with joining a terrorist group with knowledge of its purposes, spreading false news, however, it wasn\u2019t implemented, instead, he was recycled in a new case No. 1781 of 2019 Supreme State Security, with the same previous charges, and after almost 7 months in pretrial detention, a decision to replace his detention with precautionary measures was issued from Cairo Criminal Court, but wasn\u2019t implemented either, yet he was recycled in the current Case No 786 of 2020.
\n23 May 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The third circuit terrorism, had decided at its meeting held yesterday May 23, 2021, to renew the detention of \u201cMohamed Ali Ibrahim Al-Qassas\u201d for 45 days pending investigations in case No. 786 of 2020, Supreme State Security, with charges of leading a terrorist group.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that, \u201cAl-Qassas\u201d was detained pending case No. 977 of 2017 supreme state security, and was charged with joining a terrorist group with knowledge of its purposes, spreading false news, and after two years in pretrial detention, a decision to release him was issued, however, it wasn\u2019t implemented, instead, he was recycled in a new case No. 1781 of 2019, supreme state security, with the same charges, and after almost 7 months in pretrial detention, a decision to replace his detention with precautionary measures was issued from Cairo criminal court, but wasn\u2019t implemented either, yet he was recycled in the current case No 786 of 2020.<\/p>\n

28 April 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Cairo criminal court (the fifth circuit terrorism), had decided at its meeting held at the institute of Police Secretaries, to dismiss the appeal filed by AFTE’s lawyer, on behalf of\u00a0\u201cMohamed Al-Qassas\u201d, and to uphold the decision to renew his detention for 45 days, in case No. 786 of 2020, supreme state security.<\/div>\n

Although “Al-Qassas” wasn\u2019t brought from his jail cell to attend the trial session, and the defense requested to postpone the session till he’s present,\u00a0\u00a0as the hearing was invalidated due to the defendant\u2019s absence, which violates the provisions of Articles 136, 142 and 143 of the Criminal Procedure Code.<\/div>\n

4 April 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Cairo Criminal Court (The Third Circuit terrorism), decided on its meeting held on Sunday, April the 4th, at the police secretary academy, to renew the detention of “Mohamed Al-Qassas” for 45 days pending investigations into case No. 786 of 2020, Supreme State Security, on charges of leading a terrorist group.<\/p>\n

Notably, “Al-Qassas” was in pretrial detention in case No. 977 of 2017, supreme state security, he faced charges of joining a terrorist group with knowledge of its purposes, writing and spreading false statements, and after two years in pretrial detention a decision to release him was issued, however, it wasn’t implemented, he was imprisoned in a new case No. 1781 of 2019, supreme state security, he faced charges of joining a terrorist group with knowledge of its purposes, writing and spreading false statements, and after almost 7 months in pretrial detention, a decision to put him under precautionary measures was issued from Cairo criminal court, the decision wasn’t also implemented, yet he was charged in a new case No 786 of 2020.<\/p>\n

1 March 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Third Circuit Terrorism decided to renew the detention of Mohamed Al-Qassas for 45 days pending investigations into case No. 786 of 2020, Supreme State Security, on charges of leading a terrorist group.<\/p>\n

15 July 2020<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Cairo Criminal Court adjourned, yesterday, the consideration of Mohamed Al-Qassas\u2019 detention to the July 20 session because it was not possible to transfer him from prison and at the request of the defense.<\/p>\n

Al-Qassas, deputy president of Strong Egypt Party, is accused of joining a terrorist group and committing a terrorist financing crime in case no. 1781of 2019, Supreme State Security.<\/p>\n

25 December 2018<\/span> <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the consideration of Mohamed Al-Qassas’ detention to December 29, session as he was not transported to the court.<\/p>\n

Al-Qassas, deputy president of Strong Egypt Party, has been held in custody since February pending investigations in case\u00a0977\/2017,<\/span><\/span> known as Mekamleen 2.<\/p>\n

He is charged with joining a terrorist group, funding the group, and circulating fake news in<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

High State Security Prosecution has renewed the detention of Masr Alkaweya deputy leader Mohammed Ali Al-Kasas and the journalist Hossam Al-Swaify, 15 days pending investigation. Al-Kasas is charged with joining and funding a terrorist group, and Al-Swaify is charged with alliance with a terrorist group and spreading false news. Both defendants are in lawsuit number 977\/2017, which is known as Mekamelin II.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Gheit has been charged with\u00a0joining an illegally founded group and spreading false news, in\u00a0lawsuit number 977\/2017, which is known as Mekamelin 2.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Police forces had arrested the defendant from a cafe in downtown, in 13 November 2018<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

High State Security Prosecution has ordered the detention of Masr Alkaweya deputy leader, Mohammed Ali Al-Kasas, 15 days pending investigation. This is after ordering him to join the lawsuit of Mekamelin TV channel, number 977\/2017 as a defendant. The defendant has been charged with joining and funding a terrorist group.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Police forces had raided Mohamed Al-Kasas last Thursday\u00a0in order to arrest him. After this Mohamed has disappeared forcefully for two day.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
