The two defendant had been charged with joining an illegally founded group and spreding false news in lawsuit number 5768\/2018.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Police forces had arrested the journalists while filming a report on the tram of Alexandria as a heritage that lived for over than 150 years.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">11th March 2018<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #111111; font-family: aftefont; font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;Defense attorney of the journalist were shocked by the summoning of the Mai by AL-Atareen prosecution, without prior notice.&#8221; said the defendant&#8217;s journalist Mohammed Hafez. &#8220;Although the he National Security officer, who had investigated Mai had stated that she doesn&#8217;t belong to any terrorist groups nor political movements, the prosecution ordered the detention of the journalist on the ground of joining an illegally founded group that aims for dismantling the constitution and the law\u00a0by using terrorism, lawsuit number 5768\/2018.<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">8th March 2018<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Al-Attareen Prosecution in Alexandria has ordered the detention of -the Emeriti newspaper- Al-Bayan\u2019s journalist Mai Saeed Al-Sabagh, and the photo journalist Ahmed Mustafa, 15 days, pending investigation. The defendants are charged with joining an illegally founded group that aims for dismantling the constitution and the law, spreading false news in order to disturb the public order, topple the system and harm the interests of the state, receiving foreign funds, and practicing journalism without a license.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Police forces have arrested the journalists while filming a report on the tram of Alexandria as a heritage that lived for over than 150 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u201cCheif prosecutor of Al-Atareen refused to give us the official papers of the case\u201d said the attorney of the defendants Mohamed Hafez.
