Alexandria Criminal Court released student Abdullah Mamdouh (19) pending case\u00a022580\/2014, known as Kom El-Dikka Juvenile Detention Center clashes. It\u00a0also scheduled February 11, 2019 to consider Mamdouh’s retrial.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The case dates to June 2014 when clashes erupted between policemen and the underage detainees who objected sending them to El-Marg\u00a0Juvenile Detention Center.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On March 2016, Alexandria Criminal Court sentenced the 47 defendants of the case to two years in prisons and two years of supervision for the few adult defendants. By then, most of the detainees were already underage including Mamdouh who was 17.\u00a0<\/p>\n
