The Zagazig Criminal Court refused the prosecution appeal on its decision to release Omar Mahmoud Al-Hout pending investigations in Case No. 24978 of 2021 (Abo Hamad Misdemeanors), and decided to release him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Al-Hout was arrested in 2014 when he was 24 years old, from the Zagazig University campus. After ten years in prison and being rotated in different cases with the same accusations, Al-Hout is now 34 years old; his detention is still under renewal instead of releasing him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Al-Hout faces charges of joining a terrorist group and possessing publications that promote its ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n

On March 14, Zagazig Criminal Court (the Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of Omar Mahmoud Al-Hout for 45 days in connection with Case No. 24978 of 2021 (Abo Hamad Misdemeanors).<\/span><\/p>\n
Al-Hout was arrested when he was 24 years old, from the Zagazig University campus, and after nine years in prison and being rotated in different cases with the same accusations, Al-Hout is now 33 years old; his detention is still under renewal instead of releasing him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On September 26, Zagazig Criminal Court (the Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of Omar Mahmoud Al-Hout for 45 days in connection with Case No. 24978 of 2021 (Abo Hamad Misdemeanors).<\/span><\/p>\n
Security forces arrested Al-Hout on November 23, 2014, from a pharmacy he worked in Nasr City, against the backdrop of his student activity in Zagazig University although despite his cessation from any student or political activity a year and a half before his arrest, Al-Hout was listed into 6 different cases since his arrest took place, even after he had several releases order, his pretrial detention exceeded 8 years.<\/span><\/p>\n
