The second lawsuit that Salah has been charged in since his arrest in 2019.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">After Salah had been arrested, he was first listed in lawsuit No. 488 of 2019 Supreme State Security Prosecution, after eight months of pretrial detention, the Cairo Criminal Court ordered to release of him pending investigation into the lawsuit. However, the Ministry of Interior refrained from executing the order and detained Salah illegally inside the Dar al-Salaam police station in Cairo governorate for 34 days before he was presented for the second time before the Supreme State Security Prosecution pending the current lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Salah is charged with joining and financing a terrorist group, and spreading false news using a social media account, the same charges he faced in the first lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>8 March 2022 &#8220;Criminal Court renews Mohamed Salah\u2019s detention for 45 days and releases Ahmed Yousry Ghaly&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Yesterday, The Criminal Court (Second Terrorism Circuit) decided to renew the detention of Mohamed Salah Abdel-Aziz for 45 days, in connection with Case No. 855 of 2020 Supreme State Security. The Court also decided to release Ahmed Yousry Ghaly with the guarantee of his place of residence in connection with the same case.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Security forces arrested Salah while he was in a caf\u00e9 in Dokki on November 29, 2019, against the backdrop of blogging about activist Esraa Abdel Fatah\u2019s arrest incident, while Ghaly was arrested from his house on August 25, 2020, against the background of a Facebook post.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The investigations charged them both with joining and financing a terrorist group, spreading false news using a social media account.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>26 January 2022<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On Wednesday, The Criminal Court (The 3rd Circuit Terrorism) decided to renew the detention of Mohamed Salah Abdel-Aziz for 45 days pending investigations in connection with his second case No. 855 of 2020 (Supreme State Security). The court also decided to renew Ahmed Yousry Ghaly\u2019s detention for 45 days pending investigations in connection with the same case.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Salah was illegally detained inside the Dar al-Salaam police station for 34 days, during which he was subjected to physical assault before being rotated in connection with the current case, while a police force stormed Ghaly\u2019s a former member of the Al-Dostor Party house against the background of posts he shared on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Salah and Ghaly both face charges of joining and financing a terrorist group, spreading false news using a social media account.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>12 December 2021\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Yesterday, The Criminal Court (The Fourth Circuit Terrorism) decided to renew the detention of Mohamed Salah and Ahmed Yousry Ghaly for 45 days in connection with Case No. 855 of 2020 (Supreme State Security).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Both of them were arrested at different times, as the security forces arrested Salah while he was in a caf\u00e9 in Dokki on November 29, 2019, against the backdrop of blogging about activist Esraa Abdel Fatah\u2019s arrest incident, while Ghaly was arrested from his house on August 25, 2020, against the background of a Facebook post.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The investigations charged them both with joining and financing a terrorist group, spreading false news using a social media account.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>2 November 2021\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Tuesday, November 2, The Criminal Court (The Second Circuit Terrorism) decided to renew the detention of Mohamed Salah and Ahmed Yousry Ghaly for 45 days pending Case No. 855 of 2020 (Supreme State Security).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On November 29, 2019, Salah was arrested while he was in a caf\u00e9 in Dokki against blogging about activist Esraa Abdel Fatah&#8217;s arrest incident, while Ghaly&#8217;s house was stormed on August 25, 2020, against the background of a Facebook post.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The investigations charged them with joining and financing a terrorist group, spreading false news using a social media account.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>5 October 2021\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Tuesday, October 5, The Criminal Court (The Second Circuit Terrorism) considered the detention order of both \u201cMohamed Salah\u201d and \u201cAhmed Yousry Ghaly\u201d and ordered to extend it for 45 days. This came pending Case No. 855 of 2020 (Supreme State Security).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">It\u2019s worth noting that security forces arrested\u00a0 \u201cSalah\u201d on November 29, 2019, as he was accompanied by the activist \u201cEsraa Abdel-Fatah\u201d during the incident of her arrest in October of the same year, and he continued to write about the incident and call for her release on Social Abdel Aziz\u201d and \u201cAhmed Yousry Ghaly\u201d, and ordered to renew the detention for 45 extra days, this came pending Case No. 855 of 2020 Supreme State Security, and also extended the precautionary measures for \u201cKhaled Elsayed Elbadawy\u201d and \u201cAhmed Fathy Massoud\u201d pending the same case, The mentioned court considered the order to renew the defendants\u2019 detention on Sunday, July 11, 2021, in the presence of AFTE\u2019s lawyer.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The security forces arrested \u201cMohamed Salah\u201d in November 2019, as he was accompanied by the activist \u201cEsraa Abdel-Fatah\u201d during the incident of her arrest in October of the same year, and he continued to write about the incident and call for her release on Social media, and Similar 855 of 2020 Supreme State Security, and to extend the precautionary measures of \u201cKhaled Elsayed Elbadawy\u201d and \u201cAhmed Fathy Massoud\u201d for 45 days pending the same renew the detention of both \u201cMohamed Salah\u201d and \u201cAhmed Yousry Ghaly\u201d for 45 days pending Case No. 855 of 2020 Supreme State Security, and also to replace the pretrial detention with precautionary measures for \u201cAhmed Fathy Massoud\u201d, and to extend the precautionary measures of \u201cKhaled Elsayed Elbadawy\u201d for 45 days, pending the same case.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">After they were charged with joining and financing a terrorist group, publishing false news and statements by using a social media account.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>13 June 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Council Chamber of The Criminal Court, had decided on Sunday\u2019s session June 13, 2021, to renew the detention of both \u201cMohamed Mamdouh Abdel Halim\u201d and \u201cZeyad Abou El-Fadl\u201d for 45 Days Pending Investigations of Case No. 855 of 2020 Supreme State Security.<\/p>\n<p>They were charged with joining a terrorist group, publishing and broadcasting false news and statements, using a social media account for the purpose of publishing and broadcasting false news and statements.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">It should be noted that the Criminal Court had decided to release \u201cZeyad Abou El-Fadl\u201d with precautionary measures, who had been detained pending Case No. 1739 of 2018, also a judgment had been issued to release \u201cMohamed Mamdouh Abdel Halim\u201d with precautionary measures pending Case No. 1331 of 2019, however, the judgment was not implemented, until they were presented before the Supreme State Security Prosecution in Case No. 855 of 2020 Supreme State Security.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>18 May 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cairo Criminal Court, the third circuit (terrorism), had decided to postpone the hearing on the renewal on the detention of activist &#8220;Mohamed Salah Abdel Aziz&#8221;, \u201cAhmed Fathy Massoud\u201d, and \u201cAhmed Yousry Ghaly\u201d, which was supposed to be held on Thursday 16 May 2021, to Sunday 13 June 2021, due to the national holiday of Eid al-Fitr.<\/p>\n<p>Salah is charged with joining and financing a terrorist group, spreading false news using social media, pending case No. 855 of 2020 supreme state security, and notably, He wasn&#8217;t allowed to attend the last two sessions.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>27 April 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cairo criminal court, (The Third Circuit terrorism), decided to renew the detention of \u201cMohamed Salah Abdel Aziz\u201d, \u201cAhmed Fathy Massoud\u201d, \u201cAhmed Yousry Ghaly\u201d, and \u201cKhaled Elsayed Elbadawy\u201d, for 45 days pending investigations into case No. 855 of 2020, Supreme State Security.<\/p>\n<p>It is also noteworthy that \u201cSalah\u201d didn&#8217;t attend the hearing of renewing his detention, and while the defense requested his presence, their request was rejected by the head of the court, and accordingly, the defense requested to refer the case to another circuit to look into renewing his detention as the hearing was invalidated due to the defendant\u2019s absence, which violates the provisions of Articles 136, 142 and 143 of the Criminal Procedure Code.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>16 March 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Third Circuit (Criminal \/ Terrorism), decided to renew the detention of \u201cMohamed Salah Abdel Aziz\u201d, \u201cAhmed Fathy Massoud\u201d, \u201cAhmed Yousry Ghaly\u201d, and \u201cKhaled Elsayed Elbadawy\u201d, for 45 Days pending investigations into case No. 855 of 2020, Supreme State Security, the court has also decided to replace the pre-trial detention with a precautionary measure for \u201cIslam Ahmed Samak\u201d who is also being held pending the same mentioned case.<\/p>\n<p>It is also noteworthy that \u201cSalah\u201d wasn\u2019t brought from his jail cell to attend the trial session, the activist is facing charges of joining and financing a terrorist group, and spreading false news on social media.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>24 August 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Supreme State Security Prosecution decided yesterday, August 24, to detain activist Mohamed Salah Abdel Aziz for 15 days pending investigations into case no. 855 of 2020 Supreme State Security, in which he faces charges of joining a terrorist group, financing that group, and publishing false news and information using an account on social media.<\/p>\n<p>It is noteworthy that Salah was imprisoned pending case no. 488 of 2019 Supreme State Security. On July 19, 2020, the First Circuit\/Terrorism decided to replace remand detention with precautionary measures, and the prosecution did not appeal the decision.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, he was transferred from Tora Prison to the Dar Al-Salam Police Department to complete the procedures for his release.
