{"id":20698,"date":"2021-01-17T13:19:42","date_gmt":"2021-01-17T11:19:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/?p=20698"},"modified":"2021-01-17T13:19:42","modified_gmt":"2021-01-17T11:19:42","slug":"job-opening-media-officer-at-media-and-communication-unit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/jobs\/2021\/01\/17\/20698-afteegypt.html","title":{"rendered":"Job Opening: Media Officer at Media and Communication Unit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Association for Freedom of Thought and Expression (AFTE) is seeking to recruit a \u201cMedia Officer\u201d at the Media and Communication Unit, according to the following criteria and requirements:<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Job Requirements:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Good command of writing in Arabic and English.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Bachelor degree, preferably in mass communication.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Previous experience in journalism and media or civil society is preferred.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Excellent communication skills with media outlets.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Excellent command of Microsoft Office.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Belief in fundamental principles of human rights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Writing statements and news in Arabic and English.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Preparing the monthly newsletter for legal and research activities of the association.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Preparing a contact list of journalists and media outlets, and creating a publishing strategy of statements and publications of the Association in the Egyptian and foreign media outlets.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Monitoring the news and media coverage regarding the publications and statements of the association.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Follow-up on the messages received on the association\u2019s Email and coordinating with the competent units to respond to it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>About the Job:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">6 working hours daily, 5 days a week.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">There will be a probationary period at least 3 months before being appointed.
