{"id":20763,"date":"2021-01-27T15:53:28","date_gmt":"2021-01-27T13:53:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/?p=20763"},"modified":"2021-01-27T15:53:28","modified_gmt":"2021-01-27T13:53:28","slug":"job-opening-documentation-units-researcher-position-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/jobs\/2021\/01\/27\/20763-afteegypt.html","title":{"rendered":"Job Opening: Documentation Unit&#8217;s Researcher position"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Association for Freedom of Thought and Expression (AFTE) is seeking to recruit a researcher at the Documentation Unit, according to the following criteria and requirements:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>Required Experience and Skills:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Proficiency in data Collection, Screening, validation, analysis and reporting.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Ability and Knowledge of how to deal with victims of violations, and document their cases.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Ability to Communicate with official authorities and to build relations with the target groups.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">BA degree, Political or Social Sciences is preferred.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Excellent command of writing and speaking Arabic is must, good command of writing and speaking English is prefered.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Communication skills and ability to work under pressure.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Proficiency in \u201cMS Office\u201d applications, specifically \u201cExcel\u201d.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Previous experience in monitoring and documentation is preferred.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Belief in fundamental principles of human rights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Monitor and document violations of freedom of expression.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Preparing fact sheets, surveys and reports.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Communicate with target groups and victims of violations.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Providing Periodic reports to the director.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>About the position:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Working 6 hours daily, 5 days a week.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">There will be a probationary period at least 3 months before being appointed.
