24 April 2022<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Today, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to release dentist Waleed Ahmed Shawky under the guarantee of his residence, pending lawsuit No. 880 of 2020 (State Security).<\/p>\n Waleed was arrested from his clinic in El-Sayeda Zeinab on October 14, 2018, and he faced charges of joining a terrorist group, and spreading false news.<\/p>\n 15 March 2022\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n On Tuesday, March 15, The Criminal Court (The Fifth Circuit Criminal Terrorism) decided to renew the detention of Ayman Abdel Moaty and dentist Waleed Shawky for 45 days, in connection with Case No. 880 of 2020 State Security.<\/p>\n It is noteworthy that Shawky recently announced going on a hunger strike as an objection to his continued detention for more than three years, both of them face charges of joining a terrorist group, and spreading false news.<\/p>\n 30 August 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The Third Circuit Criminal Terrorism, considered the detention order of dentist \u201cWaleed Shawky Ahmed\u201d, and ordered to renew his detention for 45 extra days, this came pending Case No. 880 of 2020 Limiting State Security, The mentioned court considered the order to renew the detention on Monday, August 30, 2021, in the presence of AFTE\u2019s lawyer.<\/p>\n It\u2019s noteworthy that, he was arrested from his clinic in El-Sayeda Zeinab on October 14, 2018, and he was listed in case No. 621 of 2018 Limiting State Security, Cairo Criminal Court had previously issued two decisions releasing him and replacing imprisonment with precautionary measures on October 23, 2019, and December 3, 2019, but they were not implemented, and he was rotated pending the current case on October 6, 2020<\/p>\n
