{"id":21831,"date":"2021-05-06T15:19:33","date_gmt":"2021-05-06T13:19:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/?p=21831"},"modified":"2021-11-09T15:38:35","modified_gmt":"2021-11-09T13:38:35","slug":"renewing-the-detention-of-islam-ali-muhammed-for-45-days-pending-investigations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/legal-profiles-en\/legal-news-en\/2021\/05\/06\/21831-afteegypt.html","title":{"rendered":"Criminal Court orders to renew the precautionary measures of Islam Ali Mohamed"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>3 November 2021\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Wednesday, November 3, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew precautionary measures imposed on Islam Ali Mohamed, for 45 days pending Case No. 1898 of 2019 Supreme State Security.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The precautionary measures are to hand the defendant himself over to the police station in his neighborhood twice a week for three hours.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The defendant was arrested and presented before the prosecution in January 2020, and the investigations charged him with joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and misusing social media websites.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>26 September 2021\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Sunday, September 26, 2021, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) issued a decision to release \u201cIslam Ali Muhammed,\u201d pending Case No. 1898 of 2019 Supreme State Security.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The decision to release the defendant came with a complementary and alternative sentence of pretrial detention which is precautionary measures, through obligating the defendant to present himself before the police headquarters assigned to his place of residence at specific times of the week, according to Article (201) of Law No. 150 of 1950 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This article also defines the forms of precautionary measures. They\u2019re either compel the defendant not to leave his home or country, obligate the defendant to present himself before the police headquarters at specific times weekly, or ban the defendant from frequenting particular places.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The defendant was arrested and presented before the prosecution in January 2020, and the investigations charged him with joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and misusing a social media website.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>12 July 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Council Chamber of the Criminal Court considered the detention order of \u201cIslam Ali Muhammed\u201d, and ordered to renew his detention for 45 extra days, this came pending Case No. 1898 of 2019 Supreme State Security, The mentioned court considered the order to renew the defendant detention on Monday, July 12, 2021, in the presence of AFTE\u2019s lawyer.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The investigations charged him with joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and misusing a social media website.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>5 July 2021\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Council Chamber of the Criminal Court had decided in Monday\u2019s session July 5, 2021,\u00a0 held at Institue of Police Secretaries, to renew the detention of \u201cIslam Ali Muhammed\u201d for 45 days pending Case No. 1898 of 2019 Supreme State Security.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">in which they\u2019re accused of promoting a terrorist group, spreading false news, and misusing social media.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>15 June 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Council Chamber of the Criminal Court, held at Institue of Police Secretaries in Tura, had decided at its Tuesday\u2019s session, June 15, 2021, to renew the detention of \u201cIslam Ali Muhammed\u201d for 45 days pending Case No. 1898 of 2019, Supreme State Security, and also to extend the precautionary measures for \u201cMohamed Abdel Monem Abdullatif\u201d pending the same case.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">in which they\u2019re charged with promoting a terrorist group, spreading false news, and misusing social websites<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>4 May 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\">the council chamber of the criminal court, had decided at its meeting held on Tuesday, 4 May 2021, to renew the detention of &#8220;Islam Ali Muhammed&#8221; for 45 days pending investigations into case No. 1898 of 2019, supreme state security.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\">in which &#8220;Islam&#8221; is accused of promoting a terrorist group, spreading false news, and misusing social websites\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>3 November 2021\u00a0 Wednesday, November 3, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew precautionary measures imposed on Islam Ali Mohamed, for 45 days pending Case No. 1898 of 2019 Supreme State Security.
