He also underwent two eye surgeries less than two months before his arrest.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>4 October 2021\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Monday, October 4, The Criminal Court (The Second Circuit Criminal Terrorism) considered the detention order of journalist \u201cAmer Abdel-Moneim\u201d and ordered to extend it for 45 days. This came pending Case No. 1017 of 2020 (Supreme State Security).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On December 18, 2020, Security forces arrested \u201cAbdel-Moneim\u201d from his house in Al-Haram district and appeared before state security prosecution on December 20 to be investigated in connection with the current case.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">And he was charged with several accusations including joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and using a social media website to commit a crime.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAbdel-Moneim\u201d suffers from several health conditions, most notable of which is diabetes. He also underwent two eye surgeries less than two months before his arrest.
