The postponement was made to hear the defense\u2019s pleadings and to authorize Amer\u2019s defense to obtain the documents requested during the session.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The case dates back to October 2021, when Amer was arrested based on a National Security investigation report accusing him of participating in a media campaign for the Muslim Brotherhood. In January 2025, after nearly four years in pretrial detention, the Supreme State Security Prosecution referred him to criminal trial on charges of joining a terrorist organization with knowledge of its purposes and methods.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trial proceedings began before the Badr Criminal Court in June 2025, where the defendants denied the charges.
