The trial of Amr Socrates adjourned to 20 December, Hearing of two lawsuits demanding that Ahmed Doma and Omar Mohamed Ali resume their studies online adjourned to 9 January 2022<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The Legal Bulletin covers the lawsuits in which AFTE provides the necessary legal aid, in accordance with AFTE\u2019s action framework.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n On 5 December, the Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to replace the pretrial detention of defendant Mohamed Essam with precautionary measures and to renew the precautionary measures imposed on Alaa Zaki for 45 days, in connection with Case No. 751 of 2020 (Supreme State Security).<\/p>\n The precautionary measures oblige the defendant to hand himself over to the police station in his neighborhood for several hours, on specific days every week.<\/p>\n The events of the abovementioned case, known in local media as \u201cUltras White Knights Case\u201d, started when several fans of the Zamalek football club attempted to revive the Ultras\u2019s activities. The security forces arrested the suspects at sporadic times and accused them of joining a group established in violation of the law.<\/p>\n On 6 December, the Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of Assistant Professor at the National Research Center Hamed Sedeek for 45 days, pending investigation into Case No. 1356 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).<\/p>\n\u00a0Criminal Courts<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
