{"id":29919,"date":"2022-04-05T15:15:54","date_gmt":"2022-04-05T13:15:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/?p=29919"},"modified":"2022-04-05T15:15:54","modified_gmt":"2022-04-05T13:15:54","slug":"job-opening-documentation-units-researcher-position-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/jobs\/2022\/04\/05\/29919-afteegypt.html","title":{"rendered":"Job Opening: Documentation Unit&#8217;s Researcher position"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>The Association for Freedom of Thought and Expression (AFTE) is seeking to recruit a researcher at the Documentation Unit, according to the following criteria and requirements:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"background-color: #800000; color: #ffffff;\"><strong>Required Experience and Skills:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability and Knowledge of how to deal with victims of violations, and document their cases.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate and build relations with the target groups.<\/li>\n<li>BA degree, Political or Social Sciences is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent command of writing and speaking Arabic is a must, good command of writing and speaking English is prefered.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in \u201cMS Office\u201d applications, specifically \u201cExcel\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in monitoring and documentation is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Belief in fundamental principles of human rights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"background-color: #800000; color: #ffffff;\"><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect data, Screening, validation, analysis and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Write statements, fact sheets, case studies and research papers.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and document violations of freedom of expression.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with target groups and victims of violations.<\/li>\n<li>Provide periodic reports to the line manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"background-color: #800000; color: #ffffff;\"><strong>About the position:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Working 6 hours daily, 5 days a week.<\/li>\n<li>There will be a probationary period at least 3 months before being appointed.<\/li>\n<li>Salary is determined based on previous experience, and wage structure in the association.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"background-color: #800000; color: #ffffff;\"><strong>How to apply:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Please submit your application by sending an updated CV to: <a href=\"mailto:jobs@afteegypt.org\">jobs@afteegypt.org<\/a> and write<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<span style=\"color: #800000;\">Documentation Unit\u2019s Researcher Position<\/span>\u201d in the subject of your email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing date:<\/strong> 16 April 2022<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Association for Freedom of Thought and Expression (AFTE) is seeking to recruit a researcher at the Documentation Unit, according to the following criteria and requirements: Required Experience and Skills: Ability and Knowledge of how to deal with victims of violations, and document their cases.
