recruit a Policy Research Unit\u2019s Director, according to the following criteria and requirements:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>Required Experience and Skills:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proficiency in Arabic both written and spoken, and very good command in English both written and spoken.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">University degree in one of the following fields: \u201cPolitical Science, Sociology, Anthropology\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Previous experience in managing research projects or previous management experience <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in one of the following fields: \u201cHuman Rights, Public Policy, Development\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Previous experience in writing and editing policy papers, policy briefs, position papers and statements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Belief in human rights principles, and knowledge of human rights issues in Egypt.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Master\u2019s degree in Political or Social Sciences is preferred.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Follow-up and evaluation of the researchers working in the policy research unit.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Edit publications and policy papers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prepare an annual action plan for the Policy Research Unit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prepare reports about the policy research unit\u2019s activities, and measure the capacity of the unit regarding the implementation of the action plan.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prepare a training plan for unit\u2019s researchers about writing policy papers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contribute in communication with the executive entities and the civil society organizations relevant to AFTE\u2019s work.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coordinate with the directors of other units.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Public appearance in the media, and events relevant to AFTE\u2019s work.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop policy research guidelines, and approve research methodologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>About the position:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working 6 hours daily, 5 days a week at AFTE\u2019s office in Cairo.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There will be a probationary period at least 3 months before being appointed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salary is determined based on previous experience, and wage structure of
