During April, the Association for Freedom of Thought and Expression (AFTE) monitored the state and problems of freedom of thought and expression in Egypt. Through its various units’ activities, AFTE issued statements and reports that take a deeper look at some of the issues of freedom of thought and expression currently raised and provided legal aid in cases related to freedom of thoughts and expression.<\/p>\n

1. Publications:<\/span> <\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Publication of The first quarterly report on the state of freedom of expression in Egypt (January \u2013 March 2022)<\/a> The report also reviews and analyzes the patterns of violations that were monitored and documented during the period from 1 January to 31 March 2022, towards the right to freedom of expression in its various forms.<\/p>\n

AFTE issued the following statement in April:
