He faces charges of joining a terrorist group, promoting its goals, spreading false news, and misusing social media.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Criminal Court also renewed the detention of both Ahmed Adel Sultan and Fahmy Mohamed Mahmoud for 45 days in connection with Case No. 1480 of 2019 (Supreme State Security). Sultan and Mahmoud face charges of joining a terrorist group and spreading false news.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"background-color: #800000; color: #ffffff;\"><b>Supreme State Security Prosecution\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 7 August, the Supreme State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of El-Husseini Farghaly for 15 days in connection with Case No. 330 of 2022 (State Security).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Farghaly faces charges of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and inciting a terrorist act, against the backdrop of posting videos on his YouTube channel discussing the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam issue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 8 August, the Supreme State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of Ahmed Ashry Elsayed, the brother of Ashraf Ashry who is also listed in the same case, for 15 days in connection with Case No. 440 of 2022 (Supreme State Security).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Security forces arrested Ashry on 12 July for participating in a simulation video on TikTok.
