A security force arrested Oraby in November from his home, and the prosecution confronted him with fifteen posts from his Facebook account. and Oraby admitted his ownership of the account. In June, the Foundation for Freedom of Thought and Expression and the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor after Oraby was subjected to physical torture and abuse during his transfer from Badr 1 to Badr 3 prison.<\/p>\n

On July 22, Cairo Criminal Court (Third Circuit) decided to renew the detention of Ahmed Abdel Mageed Oraby for 45 days, pending investigations of lawsuit No. 2094 of 2022 (Supreme State Security).<\/p>\n

During the last month; the Association of Freedom of Thoughts and Expression, and the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights submitted a report to the attorney general to urgently open a investigation into the incident of assaulting and harassing him while being transferred from Bard 1 prison to Badr 3 prison as a form of punishment for his objection to the ill-treatment he received from one of the prison conscripts.<\/p>\n

The defense teams of the Association of Freedom of Thoughts and Expression, and the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights submitted a report to the attorney general to open an investigation into the incident of assaulting and harassing defendant Ahmed Oraby while being transferred to the Correction and Rehabilitation Center in Badr Prison 3. The report carried No. 33043 of 2023.<\/p>\n

During Oraby’s last detention renewal hearing, he appeared before the Criminal Court with bare feet and a shaved head. He was also transferred to Badr Prison 3 as a form of punishment for opposing the poor treatment he received from one of the officers in his previous prison of Badr 1 Prison.<\/p>\n

Oraby stated before the Court about being transferred to the Penitentiary Centre of Badr 3 prison last month as a punishment for opposing ill-treatment from an officer in his previous prison at Badr 1, he also appeared before the court barefoot.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the 2nd of May hearing; Cairo Criminal Court (Third Circuit) decided to renew Ahmed Abdul Magid Oraby\u2019s detention for 45 days, pending investigations of case No. 2094 of 2022 (State Security).<\/span><\/p>\n

Oraby\u2019s arrest came after he shared several Facebook posts discussing the current domestic political situation. A security force arrested him in November especially with the increase in calls for the November 11 demonstrations against the current regime. It\u2019s noteworthy that Oraby lost his left eye in the clashes of Mohamed Mahmous Street, but that didn\u2019t prevent him from getting arrested again regardless, he\u2019s also subjected to deliberate medical neglect inside prison as the prison adminstration refused to refer him to an orthopedist and neurologist doctor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
