Elgamal faces accusations of joining a terrorist group, financing a terrorist group, spreading false news, participating in a criminal agreement to commit a terrorist act, promoting a terrorist act, and incitement to commit a terrorist act.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><b>30 January 2023 &#8220;Supreme State Security Prosecution renews the detention of Agricultural engineer Ashraf Ali Elgamal for 15 days&#8221;\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On January 30, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of Agricultural engineer Ashraf Ali Elgamal for 15 days,\u00a0 pending investigations of case No. 1977 of 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Security forces arrested Elgamal on October 28 of last year; against the backdrop of posting about price hikes on social media.
