He is:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/legal-profiles-en\/legal-news-en\/2025\/01\/19\/39497-afteegypt.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ahmed Mostafa Ahmed Serag<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, pending investigations in Case No. 7 of 2025 (Supreme State Security).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serag faces several charges, including joining a terrorist group, committing a terrorist financing offense, spreading false news and statements, and using an online platform to promote a terrorist act.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serag was arrested after conducting an interview with Nada Magheeth, the wife of artist Ashraf Omar, on the &#8220;That Masr&#8221; website channel. During the interview, Magheeth alleged that police forces who arrested her husband seized money from their home during the raid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #800000; color: #ffffff;\"><b>10 February Sessions<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>Criminal Court<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Cairo Criminal Court renewed the detention of 2 defendants for 45 days. They are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1- <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/legal-profiles-en\/2023\/09\/14\/35422-afteegypt.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The enlisted man, Sherif Ahmed Ebrahim<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, pending investigations of lawsuit No. 2064 of 2023 (State Security), in which Ebrahim is accused of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news and information, and using an internet account to commit a crime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 31 August 2023, the 22-year-old Ebrahim was arrested after he helped a police chief to shoot and publish a video on TikTok insulting the Ministry of Interior. The police chief was also arrested and held in custody in the same lawsuit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2- <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Journalist <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/legal-profiles-en\/2024\/07\/21\/37793-afteegypt.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Khaled Mamdouh Mohamed Ibrahim<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, pending investigation in case number 1282 of the 2024 Supreme State Security Prosecution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mamdouh was arrested on July 16 following a raid on his home, during which he was detained and forcibly disappeared for six days. He was presented to the prosecution on July 21, where he was charged with joining a terrorist group while being aware of its objectives, committing one of the crimes of financing a terrorist group, and spreading and disseminating false news and information that could harm security and public order. The prosecution seized his phone and laptop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff; background-color: #800000;\"><b>11 February Sessions<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>Criminal Court<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Cairo Criminal Court renewed the detention of 4 defendants for 45 days. They are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1- <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/legal-profiles-en\/legal-news-en\/2025\/02\/13\/39698-afteegypt.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mohamed Magdy Abdel Fatta<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">h\u2019s, pending investigations in case No. 3434 of the 2024 Supreme State Security Prosecution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abdel Fattah faces charges of joining a terrorist group with prior knowledge of its objectives and spreading false news and information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was arrested on July 11, 2024, from his workplace at the General Petroleum Company in Ras Gharib and was interrogated on July 15 by the Supreme State Security Prosecution over videos he posted on Facebook discussing economic conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2- <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/legal-profiles-en\/legal-news-en\/2024\/07\/24\/37894-afteegypt.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Magdy Mohamed Mohamed Awad<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, pending investigations in Case No. 3434 of 2024, Supreme State Security.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Awad was arrested on July 6, 2024, in connection with calls for protests on July 12. He remained unlawfully detained in an undisclosed location, unknown to his family, until he was brought before the Supreme State Security Prosecution on July 10, four days after his arrest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The prosecution charged him with joining a terrorist group with knowledge of its purposes, publishing and broadcasting false news and statements that could harm security and public order, and using a social media account to disseminate false news.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The prosecution confronted him with his mobile phone and Facebook posts, which included complaints about healthcare issues, high prices, power outages, and calls for protests on July 12.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3- <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/legal-profiles-en\/legal-news-en\/2024\/08\/08\/38096-afteegypt.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Student Abdelrahman Safwat Mohamedeen Hammad<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> pending investigations in case No. 3434 of 2024, Supreme State Security.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mohamedeen was arrested on July 12, 2024, from his home due to sharing calls for demonstrations on July 12, as well as his posting of a video supporting Gaza and several posts discussing economic conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was unlawfully held in an unknown location until he was brought before the Supreme State Security Prosecution on July 16, 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The prosecution charged him with joining a terrorist group with knowledge of its objectives, spreading false news and statements that could harm security and public order, and using a social media account to spread false news.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mohamedeen was challenged with his mobile phone and some of his posts on Facebook.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4- <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/legal-profiles-en\/legal-news-en\/2024\/07\/24\/37886-afteegypt.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Islam Mahmoud Abdelaziz Abu Saud<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, pending investigations in Case No. 3434 of 2024, Supreme State Security.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On July 12, 2024, Abu Saud was arrested in connection with calls for protests on July 12, 2024.
