The syndicate reportedly refused to accept his documents and prevented his registration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b><br \/>\n2 April 2026 &#8220;Administrative Court Postpones Hearing of Freedom of Thought and Expression\u2019s Lawsuit Demanding Registration of its Client as Active Member of the Actors\u2019 Syndicate&#8221;\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Administrative Court decided to adjourn the hearing session of the lawsuit No. 96466 of Judicial Year 79, filed by the Association for Freedom of Thought and Expression on behalf of its client, Ahmed Abdel Rahman Ali Abdel Rahman, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">head of the acting professions syndicate, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to April 26, in order to review the documents and papers submitted by the Syndicate.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lawsuit challenges the Syndicate\u2019s negative decision to refrain from registering Abdel Rahman as an active member in the Performing Arts Division, despite his fulfillment of all required conditions, having prior professional work experience, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and holding the licenses issued by both the Ministry of Culture and the Syndicate<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The Syndicate refused to accept his application papers and denied him membership without providing any justification.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n7 December 2025<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AFTE has filed a lawsuit before the Administrative Court, Third Chamber, under Case No. 96466 of<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Judicial Year <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">79, on 15 October 2025, on behalf of Ahmed Abdel Rahman Ali Abdel Rahman against the head of the acting professions syndicate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lawsuit challenges the negative decision in which the syndicate refused to register the plaintiff as an active member in the Performing Arts Division, despite him fulfilling all the necessary requirements, having prior work experience, and holding the licenses issued by both the Ministry of Culture and the syndicate.
