{"id":39957,"date":"2026-01-22T15:27:22","date_gmt":"2026-01-22T13:27:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/?p=39957"},"modified":"2026-05-07T12:47:49","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T09:47:49","slug":"cairo-criminal-court-adjourns-trial-of-amr-khamis-to-april-19-to-hear-witnesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afteegypt.org\/en\/legal-profiles-en\/2026\/01\/22\/39957-afteegypt.html","title":{"rendered":"Cairo Criminal Court Adjourns Trial of Amr Khamis to April 19 to Hear Witnesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>January 17, 2026<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Cairo Criminal Court, convening at the Badr Rehabilitation and Correction Center (First Terrorism Circuit), decided to adjourn the trial in <\/span>Case No. 778 of 2025, Nasr City First Felonies, registered under State Security Prosecution Case No. 2215, in which Amr Khamis Abd El-Qawy Zidan is charged with joining a terrorist organization with knowledge of its objectives and participating in achieving its purposes, to a session scheduled for April 19.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The court had held the first hearing in the case on November 1, 2025, before adjourning it during the January 17, 2026 session to allow the defense team to review the case file.
