He was charged with publishing and broadcasting false news harmful to public security and order, and using an electronic account to disseminate such news.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His arrest followed the broadcast of a video in which he criticized the Egypt Post for refusing to accept a letter addressed to Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al\u2011Qasimi, commenting on his novel <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al\u2011Khanjar Al\u2011Marhoon<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Pledged Dagger<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), along with another book.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>27 July 2026 The Supreme State Security Prosecution, in its session held on 27 July 2026, renewed the detention of radio and television presenter Talal Mohamed Abdel\u2011Aal Seif, pending investigations in case No. 5211 of 2026 (State Security Prosecution).
