This came in parallel with the renewal of detention for her siblings Eid, Hassan, and Eman, who are also defendants in the same case.<\/p>\n<p>Shaimaa was arrested on August 18 from her home in Alexandria, one day after her sister Eman\u2019s arrest. She remained unlawfully detained in an undisclosed location, inaccessible to her family and lawyer, until she was brought before the prosecution. She was charged with using a social media account to promote the ideas of a terrorist organization and broadcasting false news and statements that could harm security and public order. During questioning, she was confronted with printed papers which she denied any connection to.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b><br \/>\n13 September 2026<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Supreme State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of Shaimaa Saber Eid Hassan El\u2011Shazly for fifteen days pending investigations in Case No. 4489 of 2026 (State Security Prosecution).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shaimaa was arrested on August 18 from her home in Alexandria, one day after her sister Eman\u2019s arrest. She remained unlawfully detained in an undisclosed location, inaccessible to her family and lawyer, until she was brought before the prosecution. She was charged with using a social media account to promote the ideas of a terrorist organization and broadcasting false news and statements that could harm security and public order. During questioning, she was confronted with printed papers which she denied any connection to. It is noted that her brothers Hassan and Eid, along with her sister Eman, are charged in the same case with identical accusations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b><br \/>\n19 August 2026<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Supreme State Security Prosecution, in its session on August 19, 2026, ordered the detention of citizen Shimaa<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Saber Eid Hassan El-Shazly<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for 15 days pending investigations in Case No. 4489 of 2026 (Supreme State Security).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A security force had arrested her at dawn on August 18 from her home in Alexandria Governorate, after they had arrested her sister the day before. She remained in unlawful custody at an undisclosed location, inaccessible to her family and lawyer, until she was brought before the prosecution. She was charged with using a social media account to promote the ideas of a terrorist group and broadcasting false news and statements that could harm public security and order.
