Mohamed Abd-Alnaby to be detained after 12 days of enforced disappearance

Al-Raml II Prosecution in Alexandria has decided the detention of Mohamed Abd-Alnaby for 15 days pending investigation. Abd-Alnaby is facing the charges of joining a terrorist group and promoting for it’s ideas, call for demonstration, crowding, Highway robbery, hooliganism and show of force in lawsuit 3655/2018 Al-raml II.

It is worth mentioning that Abd-Alnaby was arrested by police forces on the 23rd of July and enforced disappeared for twelve days after. Mohamed Abd-Alnaby is the father of the two defendants Mahmoud and Ebrahim Abd-Alnaby who are detained under the charges of joining a terrorist group, murder, attempted murder, and crowding in the lawsuit which dates back to the toppling of Mohamed Morsi in 2013. The two brothers along with 31 other defendants, are waiting for the court decision on the 27th of September, after more than 5 years of pre-trial detention.
