Held for Asking El-Sisi to Refrain From Presidential Election: Verdict against Ahmed Abdel Aziz to Be Announced in January

Giza Criminal Court is to announce the verdict of journalist Ahmed Ali Abdel Aziz’s trial to January 31.
Abdel Aziz along with other defendants are prosecuted for launching a campaign asking President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to refrain from running 2018 presidential election.

The defendants are accused of affiliation with an illegal terrorist group, promoting the group’s ideologies, and publishing false news. They are being prosecuted pending case 1/2018 Emergency State Security which is registered with number 92/2018 State Security and 1102/2017 Higher State Security.

Giza Criminal Court postponed the trial of journalist Ahmed Ali Abdel Aziz, along with others, to December 5.

The defendants are accused of affiliation with an illegal terrorist group, promoting the group’s ideologies, and publishing false news. They are being prosecuted pending case 1/2018 Emergency State Security which is registered with number 92/2018 State Security and 1102/2017 Higher State Security.

Giza Criminal Court postponed the trial of journalist Ahmed Ali Abdel Aziz, along with others, to December 3, to resume the hearing of the defense pleading.

The defendants are accused of affiliation with an illegal terrorist group, promoting the group’s ideologies, and publishing false news. Chamber 14 of Giza Criminal Court adjourned the trial of journalist Ahmed Ali Abdel Aziz, along with others, to November 4, to hear the Public Prosecutor’s pleading.

The defendants are accused of affiliation with an illegal terrorist group, promoting its ideologies, and publishing false news. They are being prosecuted pending case 1/2018 Emergency State Security which is registered with number 92/2018 State Security and 1102/2017 Higher State Security.


3 September 2018 

Chamber 14 of Giza Criminal Court extended the detention of journalist Ahmed Ali Abdel Aziz, along with others, to the case’s next court session on October 2.

The defendants are accused of affiliation with an illegal terrorist group, promoting its ideologies, and publishing false news. They are being prosecuted pending case 1/2018 Emergency State Security.


4 March 2018 

Higher State Security Prosecutor extended the detention of journalist Ahmed Ali Abdel Aziz 15 days pending investigations in case number 1102/2017 Emergency State Security.
Abdel Aziz, along with other defendants, is accused of affiliation with an illegal terrorist group, promoting its ideologies, and publishing false news.

 

8 February 2018 

 Higher State Security prosecutor extended the detention of journalist Ahmed Ali Abdel Aziz, along with others, 15 days pending investigations in case number 1102/2017 Emergency State Security.

The defendants are accused of affiliation with an illegal terrorist group, promoting its ideologies, and publishing false news.
