Replacing Pretrial Detention with Precautionary Measures for Journalist “Mostafa Sakr”

The State Security Prosecution has decided on Saturday 6 March 2021, to replace the pretrial detention with precautionary measures for the publisher and journalist “Mostafa Sakr”.

The founder of “business news” Company was arrested on April 21, 2021, and was charged with joining a terrorist group.

The Third Circuit (Criminal/Terrorism) decided in the February 9 session to renew the detention of the publisher and journalist Mostafa Mukhtar Muhammad Sakr for 45 days pending investigations into Case No. 1530 of 2019 State Security.

Sakr, the founder of the Business News Company, was arrested on April 12, 2020, and was accused of joining a terrorist group.
