The Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to detain Kareem Mohamed Omer, a sales representative, and Mohamed Elsayed Ali Elsayed a Faculty of Arts student for 15 days pending investigations into case no. 880 of 2020 Supreme State Security.

They were arrested after the examination of their mobile phones. They face charges of joining a terrorist group, and publishing false news, and using an account on Facebook with the aim of committing a crime.
