The supreme state security prosecution, had decided on Thursday 6th of May 2021, to release Islam Ahmed Samak, under guarantee of his place of residence, with the cancelation of the precautionary measures that were decided by the criminal court.

Islam was detained pending case No. 855 of 2020, supreme state security, and faced charges such as joining a terrorist group, and financing it, spreading false news using a social media account.
