Criminal Court orders to renew the detention of Hossam Elden Shaaban for 45 days

On Wednesday, December 15, The Criminal Court (The Fifth Circuit Criminal/ Terrorism) decided to renew the detention of Dr. Hossam Elden Shaaban for 45 days, in connection with Case No. 910 of 2021 (Supreme State Security).

Security forces arrested Shaaban on May 15, from Al-Arish Hospital while he was within the Health Ministry convoy sent to the Gaza Strip.

He appeared at the Supreme State Security Prosecution on the first of June. which charged him with joining a terrorist group, spreading false news and using a social media account to commit a crime.

1 June 2021

Supreme State Security Prosecution, had decided yesterday June 1, 2021, to detain doctor “Hossam Elden Shaaban” for 15 Days Pending case No. 910 of 2021 supreme state security.

This came after charging him with joining a terrorist group with knowledge of its aims and spreading false news.
It should be noted that he was arrested Al-Arish Hospital last May 15, was held unlawfully until he appeared yesterday before state security prosecution.
