Al Marg Misdemeanors Court decided to release Ali Hassan Ali Khalifa, an employee at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and set the case No. 381 of the year 2020, Al Marg Emergency State Security Misdemeanors Court, for adjudication on May 30.

Khalifa was arrested on March 9, 2020, and was brought before the prosecution on March 18, which accused him of joining a group founded in violation of the law and attempting to form a clandestine labor organization. The prosecution decided to detain Khalifa for four days pending investigations, and his detention was renewed for 15 days pending investigations at the March 21 session.

The prosecution referred the case to the Emergency State Security Misdemeanors Court, for the May 16, 2020 session, and demanded that Khalifa be punished under articles 1, 2, and 4 of the   Anti-Terrorism law No. 94 of 2015. At the session yesterday, May 16, the court heard the defense case and decided to release the defendant and set the case for adjudication on the May 30 session.
