Renewing the Detention of Activist “Mahienour El-Massry” for 45 Days Pending Investigations

The Council Chamber of the Criminal Court had decided in Tuesday’s session July 6, 2021, held at Institute of Police Secretaries, to renew the detention of ” Mahienour El-Massry ” for 45 days pending Case No. 488 of 2019 Supreme State Security.

In which she’s accused of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

“Mahienour” was arrested on September 22, 2019, in front of the Supreme State Security Prosecution headquarter, while attending investigations with detained activists as a lawyer, and she’s still in pretrial detention till now.

The council chamber of the criminal court, decided at yesterday’s session, May 25, 2021, held in the police secretary academy, to renew the detention of ” Mahienour El-Massry ” for 45 days pending investigations into case No. 488 of 2019.

In which she’s accused of joining a terrorist group, misusing social media, and spreading false news. 

Mahienour was arrested on September 22, 2019, in front of the supreme state prosecution, while providing legal aid to detained activists, and still in pretrial detention till now
