Renewing the Detention of Activist “Mahienour El-Massry” for 45 Days Pending Investigations

the council chamber of the criminal court, decided on its meeting held on Monday, April the 5th, at the police secretary academy, to renew the detention of ” Mahienour El-Massry ” for 45 days pending investigations into case No. 488 of 2019.

In which she’s accused of joining a terrorist group, misusing social media, and spreading false news. 

Mahienour was arrested on September 22, 2019, in front of the supreme state prosecution, while providing legal aid to detained activists, and still in pretrial detention till now

The Criminal Court decided, in the March 2 session, to renew the detention of Mahienour El-Masry for 45 days pending investigations into case No. 488 of 2019. She was accused of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and misuse of social media.
