On August 7, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to release Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa under the guarantee of his place of residence, pending investigations of lawsuit No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

Security forces arrested Moussa in October 2019; he was illegally detained for 48 days, against charges of joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

6 August 2023 “Criminal Court renewed the detention of Ahmed Moussa, who completes his fourth year in pretrial detention, for 45 days”

The Criminal Court (First Circuit) renewed the detention of Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa for 45 days, pending investigations of lawsuit No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

Security forces arrested Moussa in October 2019, which required his release for exceeding the maximum period of pretrial detention. He was also subjected to enforced disappearance for two months. Moussa faces accusations of joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

21 June 2023 “Criminal Court renews Ahmed Moussa’s detention for 45 days despite exceeding maximum period of pretrial detention”

On June 21, the Criminal Court (First Circuit) decided to renew the detention of Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa for 45 days, pending investigations of lawsuit No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

Moussa completes his fourth year in prison within a few months; security forces arrested him in October 2019, and he was illegaly detained for two months before appearing before the prosecution, which after the interrogations accused him of joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

9 May 2023

On May 9, Cairo Criminal Court (First Circuit) decided to renew the detention of Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa for 45 days, pending investigations of lawsuit No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

Police forces arrested Moussa in October 2019; he was subjected to enforced disappearance for nearly two months, until he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution, which accused him of joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

29 March 2023

On March 29, the Criminal Court (Third Circuit) decided to renew the detention of Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa for 45 days, pending investigations of case No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

Moussa was arrested in October 2019 which means he exceeded the maximum period of pretrial detention accodring to the law of criminal procedures. Moussa’s accused of joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

22 February 2023 “Criminal Court renews Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa’s pretrial detention for 45 days” 

On February 22, the Criminal Court (the Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa for 45 days,  pending investigations of Case No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security). The hearing was held at Badr Court. 

The Code of Criminal Procedure stipulates that the maximum period of pretrial detention is two years, and despite the fact that Moussa has exceeded three years, which necessitates his speedy release, his pretrial detention is still being renewed until now.

Moussa was arrested on October 2019 and is accused of joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

12 December 2022 “After exceeding 3 years in pretrial detention; Criminal Court renews Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa’s detention for 45 days” 

On December 12, the Criminal Court (the Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa for 45 days,  pending investigations into Case No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

Security forces arrested Moussa in October 2019, he was illegally detained for 48 days till he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution, which in turn charged him with joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

6 September 2022 “Criminal Court renews Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa’s pretrial detention for 45 days” 

On September 6, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the pretrial detention of defendant Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa for 45 days, pending investigations into Case No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

Moussa was unlawfully detained for 48 days after his arrest took place in October 2019; he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution on November the 18th of the same year. The Prosecution charged him with joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

1 August 2022 “Criminal Court renews Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa’s detention for 45 days” 

On the first of August, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa for 45 days in connection with Case No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

Security forces arrested Moussa on the first of October 2019 from his house in Alexandria; after his arrest, he was unlawfully detained for 48 days till he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution on November 18. The prosecution charged him with joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

14 June 2022 “Criminal Court renews Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa’s detention for 45 days” 

On Tuesday, June 14, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa for 45 days in connection with Case No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

In the mentioned case, Moussa is facing several charges. Most notably, joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

16 May 2022 Criminal Court renews Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa’s detention for 45 days

On Monday, May 16, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa for 45 days in connection with Case No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

13 February 2022 “Criminal Court renews Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa’s detention for 45 days”

On February 13, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa for 45 days in connection with Case No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

It should be noted that the Criminal Court decided earlier to dismiss the appeal submitted by Moussa’s defense against his detention order. In the mentioned-above case; Moussa is facing several charges. Most notably, joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing a social media website.

3 November 2021 

Wednesday, November 3, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to dismiss the appeal submitted by Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa’s defense and continue his detention pending case No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

Moussa is facing several charges. Most notably, joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

10 October 2021

Sunday, October 10, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) considered the detention order of “Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa” and ordered to extend it for 45 days. This came pending Case No. 1475 of 2019 (Supreme State Security).

“Moussa” faced several charges. Most notably, joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

6 September 2021

The Council Chamber of the Criminal Court considered the detention order of “Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa”, and ordered to renew his detention for 45 extra days, this came pending Case No. 1475 of 2019 Supreme State Security, The mentioned court considered the order to renew the detention on Monday, September 6, 2021, in the presence of AFTE’s lawyer.

“Moussa” is facing charges of joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.

13 July 2021

The Council Chamber of the Criminal Court considered the detention order of “Ahmed Hassanein Mohamed Moussa”, and ordered to renew his detention for 45 extra days, this came pending Case No. 1475 of 2019 Supreme State Security, The mentioned court considered the order to renew the defendant’s detention on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, in the presence of AFTE’s lawyer.

The investigations charged him with joining a terrorist group, committing a financing crime, spreading false news, and misusing social media.
