The Administrative Court has set next June 28 session to rule in lawsuit No. 96466 of Judicial Year 79, filed by the Association for Freedom of Thought and Expression on behalf of its client, Ahmed Abdel Rahman Ali Abdel Rahman, against the head of the acting professions syndicate.

The lawsuit challenges the negative decision in which the syndicate refused to register Abdel Rahman as an active member in the Performing Arts Division, despite him fulfilling all the necessary requirements, having prior work experience, and holding the licenses issued by both the Ministry of Culture and the syndicate. The syndicate reportedly refused to accept his documents and prevented his registration.
