Criminal Court renews Elsayed Mohamed Hagras’s detention for 45 days

On August 24, the Criminal Court (Second Terrorism Circuit) deiced to renew the detention of Elsayed Mohamed Elsayed Hagras for 45 days, pending investigations into Case No. 2207 of 2021 (Supreme State Security).

Hagras was arrested from his house on September 24, 2021, after he posted on his Facebook profile about Photographic equipment prices hikes; after the interrogations, the Prosecution charged Hagras with joining a terrorist group with knowledge of its aims, using a social media account to spread false news and statements for a terrorist purpose, and spreading false news and statements for a terrorist purpose.
