On August 27, Sharqia Criminal Court (Circuit Seven) acquitted Abdel-Azim Mohamed Saeed in his first retrial session in connection with Case No. 3825 of 2015 (South Zagzig).
Saeed was arrested from Cairo International Airport after the Saudi authorities deported him on June 19; the Criminal Court later decided to retry him against the backdrop of the verdict in absentia issued against him on January 24, 2015, to ten years in prison on charges of joining a terrorist group, Demonstration, and show of force.
