The Prosecution resumes its investigations with poet Amina Abdullah against accusations of contempt of religion

Today, the Prosecution of South Cairo Court summoned the poet Amina Abdullah to resume its investigations with her regarding a report filed by lawyer Ibrahim Saad, which carried No. 80 of 2022, and registered under No. 37 of 2022.

The prosecution summoned Abdullah for the first time on October 16, as the mentioned lawyer accused her of contempt of religion and taking god’s name in vain in her divan “girls for pain,” which was published in 2019, later on October 18, the Prosecution decided to release Abdullah on a bail of 5,000 Egyptian pounds.

On October 18, South Cairo Prosecution decided to release the poet Amina Abdullah on a bail of 5,000 Egyptian pounds, pending report No. 80 of 2022, registered under No. 37 of 2022.

 

South Cairo Prosecution summoned Abdullah for interrogation after lawyer Ibrahim Saad submitted a report against her to the Public Prosecution accusing her of contempt of religion and taking god’s name in vain in her divan “girls for pain,” which was published in 2019.
