The State Security Prosecution released student Mohamed Ibrahim Abdel Fattah pending investigations in Case No. 1941 of 2024 State Security on charges of joining a terrorist group and spreading false news. 

Abdel Fattah is a student from Mansoura. He was arrested on May 9, and the prosecution investigated him on May 16. He was accused of participating in establishing the “Students for Palestine” group, which demanded facilitating the enrollment of Palestinian students in Egypt and exempting them from tuition fees.

7 July 2024: Student’s Detention Renewed Over Participation in Establishing “Students for Palestine” Group

The State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of student Mohamed Ibrahim Abdel Fattah for 15 days pending investigations in Case No. 1941 of 2024 State Security on charges of joining a terrorist group and spreading false news. 

Abdel Fattah is a student from Mansoura. He was arrested on May 9, and the prosecution investigated him on May 16. He was accused of participating in establishing the “Students for Palestine” group, which demanded facilitating the enrollment of Palestinian students in Egypt and exempting them from tuition fees.
