Renewing the detention of “Mohamed Oxygen” and “Sameh Ramadan Saudi” for 45 Days Pending Investigations

The Third Circuit (Criminal / Terrorism) had decided at Sunday’s session, June 13, 2021, to renew the detention of both “Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed Radwan”, Known as “ Mohamed Oxygen” and “Sameh Ramadan Mohamed Saudi”, for 45 days pending Case No. 855 of 2020 Supreme State Security, with chargers of joining a terrorist group.

It should be noted that a judgment to release “Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed Radwan” with precautionary measures was issued, pending case No. 1356 of 2019, in which he was charged with joining a terrorist group and spreading false news, Also, another judgment to release him was issued pending case No. 621 of 2019, but neither of them was implemented, Conversely, he was investigated in the current case.

In the same context, a judgment to release “Sameh Ramadan Mohamed Saudi” with precautionary measures was also issued, pending case No. 1305 of 2018, and during the period of precautionary measures, he was investigated in a new case No. 1338 of 2019, and he was in pretrial detention, till he was recycled in the current case

The third circuit (Criminal / Terrorism) decided at the meeting held on Monday 22 March 2021, to renew the detention of both “Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed Radwan”, Known as “ Mohamed Oxygen” and “Sameh Ramadan Mohamed Saudi”, for 45 days pending investigations in case No. 855 of 2020 Supreme State Security, with chargers of joining a terrorist group.

It should be noted that a decision to release “Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed Radwan” was issued, with precautionary measures in case No. 1356 of 2019, in which he is facing charges of joining a terrorist group and spreading false news, Also, another decision to release him was issued in case No. 621 of 2019, but neither of them were implemented, Conversely, he was investigated in a new case No. 855 for 2020 Supreme State Security.

In the same context, a decision to release “Sameh Ramadan Mohamed Saudi” was also issued, with precautionary measures in case No. 1305 of 2018, and during the period of precautionary measures, he was investigated in a new case No. 1338 of 2019, and was detained till he was re-imprisoned on new charges in case No. 855 of 2020 Supreme State Security.
