Mohamed Galal and Mokhtar Hussein released &their Precautionary measures annulled

Last week, The Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to annul the Precautionary measures of Mohamed Galal and Mokhtar Hussein and to release them on the guarantee of their place of residence, in connection with Case No. 1116 of 2020 Supreme State Security Prosecution.

The defendants were arrested in June 2021, the Supreme State Security Prosecution charged them with joining a terrorist group and spreading false news. And on January 23, the Criminal Court decided to renew their pretrial detention with one of the precautionary measures that require handing themselves over to the police station in their neighborhood for a certain number of hours weekly.

6 March 2022

On Sunday, March 6, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the precautionary measures of Mohamed Galal and Mokhtar Hussein for 45 days, in connection with Case No. 1116 of 2020 Supreme State Security Prosecution.

On January 26, the Criminal Court decided to renew their pretrial detention with one of the precautionary measures that require handing themselves over to the police station in their neighborhood for a certain number of hours weekly.

After the defendants were arrested in June 2021, the Supreme State Security Prosecution charged them with joining a terrorist group and spreading false news.

7 February 2022

On February 7, The Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to annul the precautionary measures of Gouda Essam, Abdel-Rahman Amin, Mohamed Radwan, Omar Khaled, Abdel-Satar Mohamed, and Eslam Samir, in connection with Case No. 1116 of 2020 Supreme State Security Prosecution.

Last December 15, The Criminal Court ordered to release the defendants with imposing precautionary measures as an alternative to pretrial detention, represented in handing the defendant himself over to the police station in his neighborhood for a certain number of hours weekly.

The Security forces arrested the defendants during the last week of June; the following month, they were presented before the Supreme State Security Prosecution to be investigated in connection with the current case and charged them with joining a terrorist group and spreading false news.

15 December 2021

The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber), on December 15, decided to release Gouda Essam, Abdel-Rahman Amin, Mohamed Radwan, Omar Khaled, Abdel-Satar Mohamed, and Eslam Samir, in connection with Case No. 1116 of 2020 Supreme State Security Prosecution,

The decision to release the defendants came with imposing precautionary measures as an alternative to pretrial detention, represented in handing the defendant himself over to the police station in his neighborhood for a certain number of hours weekly.

The Security forces arrested the defendants during the last week of June; the following month, they were presented before the prosecution to be investigated in connection with the current case and charged them with joining a terrorist group and spreading false news.

14 June 2021

The Third Circuit Terrorism, held at Institue of Police Secretaries in Tura, had decided at Monday’s session, June 14, 2021, to extend the precautionary measures for the defendant “Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Sambo” for 45 days pending Case No. 1116 of 2020 supreme state security.

It should be noted that he was arrested on August 12, last year, and the prosecution charged him with joining a terrorist group with knowledge of its aims, spreading false news that could disturb public peace and order, using a social media account in order to spread the false news, until a judgment to replace the pretrial detention with precautionary measures was issued on June 6, 2021

6 June  2021

The third circuit terrorism, had decided at yesterday’s session, June 6, 2021, held at Institue of Police Secretaries in Tura, to replace the pretrial detention with precautionary measures for the defendant “Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Sambo”, pending case No. 1116 of 2020 supreme state security.

It should be noted that he was arrested on August 12, last year, and the prosecution charged him with joining a terrorist group with knowledge of its aims, spreading false news that could disturb public peace and order, using a social media account in order to spread the false news.
