Criminal Court renews the detention of lawyer Mohamed Abdel-Fatah who suffers from leukemia for 45 days

On September 4, the Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of lawyer Mohamed Elsayed Abdel-Fatah, for 45 days in connection with case No. 627 of 2021 (Supreme State Security Prosecution).

At the beginning of March 2021, security forces arrested Abdel-Fatah. It should be noted that he has leukemia, and his defense team presented evidence of this to the Public Prosecution and the Criminal Court, which requires his release as he needs special medical care. He faces charges of joining a terrorist group.

27 July 2022 “The detention of lawyer Mohamed Abdel-Fatah who suffers from leukemia renewed for 45 days” 

On July 27, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of lawyer Mohamed Elsayed Abdel-Fatah, who suffers from leukemia for 45 days in connection with lawsuit No. 627 of 2021 (Supreme State Security Prosecution).

On March 2, 2021, security forces arrested Abdel-Fatah from his house in Alexandria, after 12 days; he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution, which in turn charged him with joining a terrorist group. 

11 June 2022 “Despite suffering from leukemia; the detention of lawyer Mohamed Abdel-Fatah renewed for 45 days” 

On June 11, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of lawyer Mohamed Elsayed Abdel-Fatah for 45 days in connection with lawsuit No. 627 of 2021 (Supreme State Security Prosecution).

It should be noted that Abdel-Fatah suffers from leukemia, and his defense team presented evidence of this to the Public Prosecution and the Criminal Court, which requires his release as he need special medical care.

8 May 2022 Criminal Court renews lawyer Mohamed Elsayed Abdel-Fatah’s detention for 45 days who suffer from leukemia

On Sunday, May 8, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of lawyer Mohamed Elsayed Abdel-Fatah for 45 days in connection with lawsuit No. 627 of 2021 (Supreme State Security Prosecution).

Abdel-Fatah was arrested from his house in Alexandria on March 2, 2021; he was investigated before the Supreme State Security Prosecution on March 14 of the same year, which charged him with joining a terrorist group.

It is worth noting that Abdel-Fatah suffers from leukemia, and his defense team presented evidence of this to the Public Prosecution and the Criminal Court.

15 March 2022 

On Tuesday, March 15, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of lawyer Mohamed Elsayed Abdel-Fatah for 45 days, in connection with Case No. 627 of 2021 (Supreme State Security Prosecution).

It is worth noting that Abdel-Fatah suffers from leukemia, and his defense team presented evidence of this to the Public Prosecution and the Criminal Court. He was arrested at the beginning of last March from his house in Alexandria, and the prosecution charged him with joining a terrorist group.

7 February 2022

On Monday, February 7, The Criminal Court (The Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of lawyer Mohamed Elsayed Abdel-Fatah for 45 days, in connection with Case No. 627 of 2021 (Supreme State Security Prosecution).

A security force arrested Abdel-Fatah from his house in Alexandria at the beginning of last March. He was illegally detained until he was brought before the Supreme State Security Prosecution on March 14, in connection with the current case. The prosecution charged him with joining a terrorist group.

It is worth noting that Abdel-Fatah suffers from leukemia, and his defense team presented evidence of this to the Public Prosecution and the Criminal Court.
