On Monday, March 21, Kafr Saqr Misdemeanor Court acquitted Attia Shehata Elsayed in connection with Case No. 1596 of 2022 (Kafr Saqr Misdemeanour), in which he’s charged with joining a terrorist group and possessing publications that promote its ideas.
Security forces arrested Elsayed on the 5th of December of last year. Five days later, he appeared before North Sharqiah Public Prosecution in connection with the first case No. 15145 of 2021 (Kafr Saqr Misdemeanour). The prosecution referred him to Kafr Saqr Misdemeanor Court on charges of joining a terrorist group and possessing publications that promote its ideas. In January 17 session, the Court acquitted him.
But instead of releasing him, he was rotated in connection with the second case No. 1596 of 2022 (Kafr Saqr Misdemeanour) with the exact previous charges. Once again, the prosecution referred him to Kafr Saqr Misdemeanor Court, which acquitted him on March 21.
