On April 5, the Criminal Court (First Circuit) decided to renew El-Hussaini Farghaly’s pretrial detention for 45 days in connection with case No. 330 of 2022 (State Security).

Farghaly’s arrest on April 5, 2020, came against the grounds of posting a video on his Youtube channel discussing the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which threatens Egypt’s water reserves. Accordingly, the prosecution accused him of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and inciting a terrorist act. 

4 September 2022 “After posting videos about Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam; Criminal Court renews the detention of El-Hussaini Farghaly for 45 days” 

On September 4, the Criminal Court (First Terrorism Criminal Circuit) decided to renew the detention of El-Hussaini Farghaly for 45 days in connection with case No. 330 of 2022 (State Security).

 

Farghaly was arrested on April 5 after posting videos on his Youtube channel discussing the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam; he wasn’t brought before the Supreme State Security Prosecution until April 7, which in turn charged him with joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and inciting a terrorist act.

22 August 2022 “Criminal Court renews El-Hussaini Farghaly’s detention for 45 days for posting videos about Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam” 

On August 22, the Criminal Court (First Terrorism Cicruit) decided to renew the detention of El-Hussaini Farghaly for 45 days, into investigations of Case No. 330 of 2022 (State Security).

The Supreme State Security Prosecution interrogated Farghaly for the first time on April 7, after he posted videos on his Youtube channel discussing the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. Farghly faces charges of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news and inciting a terrorist act.

7 August 2022 “For the 5th time; Supreme State Security Prosecution renews El-Hussaini Farghaly’s detention for 15 days for posting videos about Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam” 

On August 7, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of El-Hussaini Farghaly for 15 days in connection with investigations of Case No. 330 of 2022 (State Security).

Farghaly was arrested after he posted videos on his Youtube channel discussing the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, the Supreme State Security Prosecution interrogated him for the first time on April 7, and charged him with joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and inciting a terrorist act.

24 July 2022 “After posting videos about Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam; Supreme State Security Prosecution renews El-Hussaini Farghaly’s detention for 15 days” 

On July 24, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of El-Hussaini Farghaly for 15 days in connection with investigations of Case No. 330 of 2022 (State Security).

Farghaly’s arrest comes against the backdrop of posting videos on his YouTube channel regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, after his arrest he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution on April 7, which in turn charged him with joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and inciting a terrorist act.

6 July 2022 

Yesterday, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of El-Hussaini Farghaly for 15 days in connection with investigations of Case No. 330 of 2022 (State Security).

Farghly was arrested against the backdrop of posting videos about Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on his Youtube channel, the Supreme State Security Prosecution investigated him for the first time on April 7, which in turn charged him with joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and inciting a terrorist act.

12 June 2022 

Yesterday, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of El-Hussaini Farghaly for 15 days in connection with investigations of Case No. 330 of 2022 (State Security).

The Supreme State Security Prosecution investigated Farghaly for the first time on April 7, and he faces charges of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and inciting a terrorist act. These charges come against the backdrop of posting videos on his youtube channel regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
