Zagazig Court of Terrorism Appeal acquits Student Abdel-Rahman El-Attar

Today, Zagazig Court (Circuit of Terrorism Misdemeanour Appeal) acquitted Engineering student at Misr University For Science And Technology, Abdel-Rahman Magdy Mohamed El-Attar, and annulled the previous verdict against him of one year in prison, in connection with Case No. 3886 of 2022 (Mashtool El Souk misdemeanor).

El-Attar faced charges of joining a terrorist group and possessing publications that promote its ideas, after his arrest on April 25. 

 

18 July 2022 “Belbis Misdemeanor Terrorism Court sentences student Abdel-Rahman El-Attar to one year in prison” 

Today, Belbis Court (Misdemeanor Terrorism Circuit) sentenced Engineering student at Misr University For Science And Technology, Abdel-Rahman Magdy Mohamed El-Attar to one years in prison, in connection with Case No. 3886 of 2022 (Mashtool El Souk misdemeanor).

On April 25, El-Attar was arrested from his house in Mashtool El Souk, against charges of joining a terrorist group and possessing publications that promote its ideas.

 

4 July 2022

On July 4, the Misdemeanor Terrorism Circuit of Belbes Court set next July 18 as a date to adjudicate Case No. 3886 of 2022 (Mashtool El Souk misdemeanor), in which Engineering student at Misr University For Science And Technology, Abdel-Rahman Magdy Mohamed El-Attar is convicted.

South Sharqia Public Prosecution referred the case to be examined before the Court, which in turn held its first hearing yesterday, El-Attar faces charges of joining a terrorist group and possessing publications that promote its ideas.

21 June 2022 South Sharqia Public Prosecution renews the detention of student Abdel-Rahman El-Attar for 15 days

Today, South Sharqia Public Prosecution decided to renew the detention of student Abdel-Rahman Magdy Mohamed El-Attar, for 15 days in connection with Case No. 3886 of 2022 (Mashtool El Souk misdemeanor).

On April 25, El-Attar, Engineering student at Misr University For Science And Technology, was arrested from his house in Mashtool El Souk, on May 28, he appeared before the prosecution for the first time. He faces charges of joining a terrorist group and possessing publications that promote its ideas.

11 June 2022 South Sharqia Public Prosecution renews the detention of student Abdel-Rahman El-Attar for 15 days

On June 11, South Sharqia Public Prosecution decided to renew the detention of Engineering student at Misr University For Science And Technology, Abdel-Rahman Magdy Mohamed El-Attar, for 15 days in connection with Case No. 3886 of 2022 (Mashtool El Souk misdemeanor).

El-Attar was arrested from his house in Mashtool El Souk on April 25, more than a month later; he appeared before South Sharqia Public Prosecution, which charged him with joining a terrorist group and possessing publications that promote its ideas.
