Criminal Court renews the pretrial detention of Wessam Salah for 45 days

On July 24, the Criminal Court (the Council Chamber) decided to renew the detention of Wessam Salah, for 45 days in connection with Case No. 93 of 2022 (Supreme State Security Prosecution). The hearing was held at the Police Secretaries Institute in Tura.

 

A security force arrested Salah on January 20 of the current year, he didn’t appear before the Supreme State Security Prosecution till March 14, after being investigated; the prosecution decided to charge him with joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and using a social media account to spread the false news and statements.

 

6 July 2022 “Supreme State Security Prosecution renews Wessam Salah’s detention for 15 days” 

On July 6, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of Wessam Salah for 15 days in connection with Case No. 93 of 2022 (Supreme State Security Prosecution).

On January 20, Security forces arrested Salah from his house in Sidi Bishr in Alexandria governorate, he was illegally detained for two weeks till he appeared before the prosecution, which in turn charged him with joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and using a social media account to spread the false news and statements.

On June 26,  the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of Wessam Salah for 15 days in connection with Case No. 93 of 2022 (Supreme State Security Prosecution).

Salah was arrested from his house in Sidi Bishr in Alexandria governorate on January 20; he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution for the first time on March 14; he faces charges of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and using a social media account to spread the false news and statements.
