On February 7, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to release journalist Mohamed Fawzy Mosaad under the guarantee of his place of residence, in connection with case No. 440 of 2022 (State Security).
Mosad was subjected to enforced disappearance after being arrested from his house against the backdrop of several posts he shared on social media; he was also arrested in November 2018 and was detained for 15 months before his release. Mosad faces charges of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and inciting a terrorist act.
15 November 2022 “Criminal Court renews the detention of Journalist Mohamed Fawzy Mosaad for 45 days”
On November 15, the Criminal Court (2nd Circuit) decided to renew the detention of Journalist Mohamed Fawzy Mosaad, for 45 days, in connection with Case No. 440 of 2022 (State Security).
Fawzy was arrested from his house in Haram district on May 15, 2022; he was subjected to enforced disappearance for two weeks before he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution against the backdrop of posts on his Facebook page, including a post criticizing the Egyptian family’s breakfast party and the failure to pardon all those involved in Hossam Mu’nis case, and another post about the martyred Palestinian journalist Sherine Abu Aqleh.
It should be noted that case No. 440 of 2022 is the second case in which Fawzy is convicted, as he was previously included in Case No. 1739 of 2018 for 14 months before his release. Fawzy faces charges of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and inciting a terrorist act.

The Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of Journalist Mohamed Fawzy Mosaad, for 15 days, in connection with Case No. 440 of 2022 (State Security). In September 26’s hearing.
It should be noted that in 2018, Fawzy was listed into another case that carried No. 1739 of 2018 Supreme State Security, in 2020 he was released after 18 months of pretrial detention under precautionary measures that required him to go to the police station three times a week, Fawzy faces charges of joining a terrorist group, spreading false news, and inciting a terrorist act. The same charges he faced in the first case.

On September 12, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of the Journalist at Eldyar newspaper, Mohamed Fawzy Mosaad, for 15 days, in connection with Case No. 440 of 2022 (State Security).
Security forces arrested Mosaad on May 15; he was subjected to enforced disappearance for 14 days till he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution on May 29, as the prosecution faced him with several posts on his Facebook page, including a post criticizing the Egyptian family’s breakfast party and the failure to pardon all those involved in Hossam Mu’nis case, and another post about the martyred Palestinian journalist Sherine Abu Aqleh.

On August 29, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of the Journalist at Eldyar newspaper, Mohamed Fawzy Mosaad, for 15 days, in connection with Case No. 440 of 2022 (State Security).
Security forces arrested Mosaad on May 15, against the backdrop of posts he shared on Facebook; it should be noted that this is Mosaad’s second case as he was arrested back in December 2018, pending a different case. Mosaad faces charges of joining a terrorist group and inciting a terrorist act.

On August 15, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of the Journalist at Eldyar newspaper, Mohamed Fawzy Mosaad, for 15 days, in connection with Case No. 440 of 2022 (State Security).
Mosaad was arrested on May 15, against the backdrop of sharing posts on his Facebook profile including a post criticizing the Egyptian family’s breakfast party (a presidential social initiative aimed to boost dialogue among various segments of society) and the failure to pardon all those involved in Hossam Mu’nis case, and another post about the martyred Palestinian journalist Sherine Abu Aqleh.

On the 2nd of August, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of the Journalist at Eldyar newspaper, Mohamed Fawzy Mosaad, for 15 days, in connection with Case No. 440 of 2022 (State Security).
Security forces stormed Mosaad’s house on May 15 of the current year, he was subjected to enforced disappearance for more than two weeks, against the backdrop of sharing a Facebook post on his profile.
After the interrogations, the Supreme State Security Prosecution charged Mosaad with joining a terrorist group and inciting a terrorist act.

On July 18, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of journalist Mohamed Fawzy Mosaad, for 15 days, in connection with Case No. 440 of 2022 (State Security).
The Journalist at Eldyar newspaper was arrested on May 15, against the backdrop of a Facebook post, he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution two weeks after his arrest.
Mosaad faces charges of joining a terrorist group and inciting a terrorist act.

On July 4, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to renew the detention of journalist at Eldyar newspaper, Mohamed Fawzy Mosaad, for 15 days in connection with Case No. 440 of 2022 (State Security).
Security forces arrested Mosaad on May 15 from his house in El-Omrania, Giza governorate; after two weeks of illegal detention, Mosaad appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution pending the current case.
Mosaad faces charges of joining a terrorist group and inciting a terrorist act.
