Desouki, holds a secondary commercial education certificate and works as a web programmer for Likee.

He was arrested near his home in Qalyubia governorate on 24 April 2020, according to the arrest report. But Desouki denied this during the interrogation carried out by the prosecution, saying that he was arrested on 23 April 2020.

The prosecution charged Desouki with joining an organized criminal group for the purposes of human trafficking, after helping Haneen Hossam in her dealing with natural persons, who are girls she used in works that violate the principles and values of society in order to obtain material benefits from them, exploiting their poor economic conditions and their need for money, and promising to give them money.

On 11 March 2021, Desouki, Haneen Hossam, Mawaddah al-Adham and two Likee employees were referred to a criminal court in Case No. 4917 of 2020, registered with No. 2106 of 2020 at the North Cairo Court.

On June 21, 2021, the Cairo Criminal Court in presence has ruled the imprisonment of Ahmed Salah for 6 years and a fine of 200,000 EGP in Case No. 4917 of 2020, Sahel Felonies, registered under No. 2016 of 2020 North Cairo.”
