Yesterday, The Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to release Ahmed Mohamed Abu Khalil pending lawsuit No. 558 of 2020 (Supreme State Security).
On June 3, 2020, security forces arrested Abu Khalil from his house, ten days later he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution in connection with the same case. He was charged with joining a terrorist group, misusing social media, and spreading false news.

On Tuesday, March 29, The Criminal Court (The Third Circuit Terrorism) decided to renew the detention of Ahmed Mohammad Abu Khalil for 45 days, in connection with Case No. 558 of 2020 (Supreme State Security).
On June 3, 2020, security forces arrested Abu Khalil from his house, ten days later he appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution in connection with the same case. He was charged with joining a terrorist group, misusing social media, and spreading false news.

Yesterday, The Criminal Court (The Third Circuit Terrorism) considered the detention order of Ahmed Mohammad Abu Khalil” and ordered to extend it for 45 days. This came pending Case No. 558 of 2020 Supreme State Security.
Security forces arrested “Abu Khalil” on June 3, 2020, from his house, and he was taken to an unknown location. And for ten days, he was subjected to enforced disappearance until he appeared before the State Security Prosecution, and he was investigated in the current Case.
After investigations, The Prosecution charged him with joining a terrorist group, misusing social media, and spreading false news.

The Third Circuit (Criminal / Terrorism) considered the detention order of “Ahmed Mohammad Abu Khalil”, and ordered to renew his detention for 45 extra days, this came pending Case No. 558 of 2020 Supreme State Security, The mentioned court considered the order to renew the defendant’s detention on Sunday, August 22, 2021, in the presence of AFTE’s lawyer.
“Abu Khalil” was arrested on June 3, 2020, from his house, and he was taken to an unknown location, and for 10 days he was subjected to enforced disappearance until he appeared before the State Security Prosecution, and he was investigated in the current Case.
